When I say the phrase, “Christian writer,” what genre comes to mind? What about “Christian filmmaker?” In most cases, you think of someone writing or creating in a specifically Christian genre. Christian film brings to mind films like October Baby, Fireproof, or even the better offerings of the genre, like The Case for Christ or Risen.
Christian Entertainment Reviews is seeking an avid reader to contribute book reviews. If you: 1. Love God, 2. Are passionate about the power and impact of entertainment (both positively and negatively), and 3. Look at entertainment, especially books, from a Christian perspective, then we want you!
Interests in particular genres are not necessary. The reviewer must be able to commit to at least one review per month. Books to review can include new releases as well as classic literature or other fiction books that can be analyzed from a Christian perspective.
To apply, please send a query and two writing samples (they don’t have to be book-related, or previously published) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s been a long, interesting, and blessed time since this blog was started in May of last year. Our traffic has multiplied by a factor of 10, we’ve expanded to more than just films and TV shows to include video games and comic books, and we were even mocked on reddit (which I suppose is a benchmark of “arriving” on the internet). In order to keep expanding and to keep producing quality material, I am proud to announce that two new writers have joined us!
